Geometric Overload: Prada Fall 2012

17 Sep

It’s all in the details! I’m pretty sure that was Miuccia Prada’s (Head Designer) mantra when designing the Fall 2012 collection. I feel so liberated that prints are back in style. Most people shy away from prints but I embrace them. Printed blouses, pants, skirts, dresses, and shoes…..its all fair game this season. Typically less is more when approaching prints but this season “print on print” is the way to go. I’m obsessed with pairing black and white stripes against black and white geometric shapes. Winning!

Shoe Game: Prada Spring/Summer 2012

25 Apr

Um, excuse me! Why aren’t these amazing stilettos in my closet yet?! I’m loving PRADA’s sling backs for Spring/Summer.  The shoe collection was inspired by 1950’s vintage American cars.  One pair of these “hot rod” shoes will permanently step up your shoe game! Beep…Beep!

Tokyo Fashion’s Night Out: PRADA Love

20 Dec

O Tokyo, Tokyo, wherefore are thou Tokyo? I’ve been longing to visit you as Juliet longed for her true love. After viewing these glorious photos I know we are meant to be together.  I cant’t stop staring and dreaming about all those lovely clothes that were on display during Tokyo’s Fashion’s Night Out. I just wish I didn’t live half across the world. Oh well, will always have Prada!  I secretly want to lay my head ever so gently on that furry blazer below. I bet it’s supremely soft! Fuzziness and sparkles, could PRADA be more fantastic?!

Bag of the Day

25 Nov

Happy Thanksgiving to my Stateside readers! I've been dreaming about this bag to add to my Spring collection of handbags.  Its by PRADA which pretty much is a enuf said but, I do love the size of this bag. Its made out of felt and leather and larger enough to carry the entire contents of small NYC apartment or the leftovers from my Thanksgiving dinner cooked by Moi. It won't officially be in stores until next Spring, which is plenty of time for me to decide if I want to make it mine or not.
