Lions, Tigers, and Hippos

11 Oct

I'm kinda of digging these oversized knitted hats by Chinese desinger Yang Du. They would be really fun to wear for Halloween.  I could be a tiger, lion, or maybe I could try rocking the hippo frock.  Hmm….decisions …..decisions.

Chanel S/S 2011- Paris Fashion Week

11 Oct

Chanel is my Mona Lisa …..priceless and irreplaceable. I shutter to think what the fashion world would have been like if Coco Chanel never became a designer. I actually cried when the orchestra began to play and models started walking the runway. This has to be my favorite collection for Spring/Summer 2011. Creative Director Karl Lagerfeld always staying true to Chanel's roots produced an exquisitely sophisticated, romantic, classic collection! Since, my salary doesn't allow for any Chanel pieces at the moment. I will have to refer back to this video for inspiration!

Louis Vuitton S/S 2011 Paris Fashion Week

11 Oct

In my eyes Louis Vuitton can do no wrong. I am in love with LV's Spring/Summer 2011 collection. The show was so memorizing that I attempted to reach into my laptop screen to touch on of the garments (lol). This collection is filled with silks, tassels, glitterly belts, printed pictures of giraffes, tigers, and pandas. The color palette is very unusual for spring/summer with dark hues of purple, pink, teal, and gold. The models looked like they were part of the 1980's hit show Dynasty circa now!

Go Go Target

11 Oct

When I shop at Target I get the same high as when I shop at Louis Vuitton with the exception of my wallet being happier. I always find something new and fun in Target. Last week it was the new Go International label's new designer TUCKER by Gaby Basora. The collection consists of floral print dresses, blouses with graphic prints, and cable knit sweaters.  The line has bohemian style with a hipster flair. I was really impressed with the quality of the dresses. Here's a few of my favorite pieces below.

The Chic Librarian

Fall fashions are out in full force! Here are some sweet designers that have paired a simple black turtleneck underneath some eye-catching dresses. If you want to get this look for less…..check out Target ,  they have an amazing selection on fitted black turtleneck for under $20!

That little dress

11 Oct

I love this little dress by ANLO. It's chic, flirty, and comfortable! It's a great day-to-night dress. Wear it to the office with a little blazer and a pair of opaque tights. When it's quitting time take the blazer and tights off, throw on the hottest pair of strappy sandals you own. Final check in the mirror and your outfit is ready for cocktail hour with your office crush. Check out the entire ANLO collection at NORDSTROM.

Here’s the Skinny

11 Oct

If you thought the skinny jean would be out like Danielle Staub from New Jersey Housewives your hopes will be crushed. That's right the skinny is here to stay! The must have color is black, black, and black! It's a sure way to look edgy and chic. However, If you don't feel like lathering yourself up with butter, squeezing into your jeans, while lying down on your bed, and having someone assist you with zipping them up. You can always opt to wear a pair of stretchy black leggings and call it a day.

King Louis

11 Oct

Creative Director MARC JACOBS has hit the mark once again with this yummy line of framed handbags for LOUIS VUITTON Fall 10.  The bags coming in netural hues they are sure to be a show stopper for many years to come!

Plenty of Tracy

11 Oct

TRACY REESE one of the greatest designers in the industry. I call her the women's designer because, her designs are always beautiful and feminine! Everytime I slip into one of her silk dresses I feel so sexy and creative. Look out for her full Fall 10' collection at Saks fifth AvenueNordstrom, and Bloomingdales!

Say it with Your Legs

11 Oct

If you love tights as much as me then you know how much fun it can be to mix and match them with your favorite skirt or dress. If you want to rock this style….I suggest wearing a solid color dress or skirt….no prints or patterns. It's a tough look to pull off but, if done correctly you will look like a ROCKSTAR!
